Apparently Project Maven is a thing, and,  Google employees are not happy about it.  In a letter to the company’s CEO,  at least 3,100 employees wagered disgust against the company’s decision to take part in a military project that caught many by surprise.  In the letter,   employees took direct aim at Project Maven, because, it appears that the project is entirely about engaging in heavy warfare and enacting better precision for weapons than ever before.

“We believe that Google should not be in the business of war,” states what Fast Company.   Also it’s worth noting that some fear that Google could overstep its boundaries, and, suddenly become a partner in a war it can’t get out of.

Others, however, have concerns that Google could lose out on extraordinary AI talent if they proceed with the contract.    Per reports, employees aren’t worried about the AI programs at Microsoft and Amazon “because they obviously aren’t the same”.
