Mississippi ‘s Thad Cochran is out, and, the state is already hoping in to usher yet another staunch conservative. Thad, announced today that after a generation in said seat that he would be resigning amid ailing health. Cochran, confirmed that his resignation will “formally” take place on 1 April, allowing, the state to find a replacement until the special election.
But, his seat is already being eyeballed by quite a few people including one particular Democrat. Cochran, turned 80 in December and has since been in ailing health.
Cochran ‘s office declined to comment on what exactly may be wrong with the Senator. He was first elected to the Senate in 1978.
