ATLANTA, GEORGIA — If there were ever awards for the pettiest of them all, perhaps, Georgia would indeed win the cake. Earlier this week, state lawmakers announced that Delta would lose its tax break on jet fuel because of the fact that the company cut its ties with the NRA (and their discount program).
But, it appears that the discount wasn’t all that it was hyped up to be. Delta has now come out defending itself, citing, that “our values are not for sale” and even then “only about 13 people actually used the discount which is once a year. Particularly for an event that takes place in May”.
This is a far cry from the way the NRA made it appear, that, the discount program was extremely beneficial to its members — when in fact it wasn’t.
