During his first State of the Union Address, Donald Trump, announced that the controversial Gitmo Prison will remain open despite the fact Barack Obama previously closed it. During the address, Trump, claimed that the prison is “necessary to fight terrorism” and that it had wrongly been closed — despite its many controversies.
“When necessary, we must be able to detain and question them,” he said. “But we must be clear: Terrorists are not merely criminals. They are unlawful enemy combatants. And when captured overseas, they should be treated like the terrorists they are.” he continued.
