AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND — A big first in a long time for New Zealand. Prime Minister Ardren has announced that she and beau Mr. Gayford are expecting their first child. Such news, is a first of such announcement since 1990.
“We thought 2017 was a big year! This year we’ll join the many parents who wear two hats. I’ll be PM & a mum while Clarke will be ‘first man of fishing’ & stay at home dad,” she tweeted Friday.
Ardern will take 6 weeks of leave once the baby is born, leaving Acting PM Winston in charge of New Zealand.
